The Ohio Aerospace Hub is proud to announce an agreement that will bring Intelligent Decisions into the Dayton region. Intelligent Decisions (ID) Inc., a recognized leader in federal IT solutions, was named to the prestigious Inc. 5000 list of America’s fastest-growing private companies for the fourth year.

ID will be housed on the second floor in Building 2 of Tech Town in the heart of downtown Dayton. Not only will ID be able to work with the companies within the Hub, it will also take full advantage of proximity to Wright Patterson Air Force Base, where the firm presently supports DLA and the AFLCMC PMO F-22.

“Since 1988, Intelligent Decisions has been developing innovative information technology solutions to solve the most challenging requirements of our government clients, and this is the expertise that we will bring to the Ohio Aerospace Hub,” said CEO Harry Martin. “We plan to align our unparalleled experience, diverse business practice and our team of subject matter experts, to enable clients to reach and surpass their goals and objectives in this environment of reduced budgets and available funding.”

ID’s diversified solutions utilize technology expertise and past successes and will further capitalize from the expertise of Ohio’s workforce to develop innovative business approaches and solutions.

ID recently showcased the company’s revolutionary new Dismounted Soldier Training System (DSTS) at the Ohio Aerospace Business Hub at Tech Town. This cutting-edge immersive training technology enables U.S. soldiers, leaders and units to train in a virtual environment, increasing the quality of instruction and combat preparedness, and reducing traditional expenses associated with large-scale training facilities. ID is currently rolling out DSTS to 28 U.S. Army installations worldwide and working with the US Marines and various criminal justice agencies to adapt the DSTS technology to their immersive training needs.

Clarence Pape, ID’s Vice President of DoD Operations, is excited to take advantage of all the opportunities that the Dayton region offers, which was apparent during the Tech Town DSTS demonstrations. Local law enforcement (SWAT Teams), Ohio National Guard and WPAFB personnel engaged in the immersive technology training demonstrations. ID also displayed the Airstar (ID Affiliate Company) UAV helicopters designed to support deployment of ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance) and cameras, for supporting security, law enforcement, intelligence gathering and other ISR needs.

Ed Loper, the firm’s Director of Air Force Operations, said, “ID looks forward to joining the community of technology companies to share information and collaborate on projects to create growth through joint business efforts.”

The Ohio Aerospace Hub has a focused strategy on bringing companies based in Aerospace, Sensors, RFID and Cyber Security to the Dayton region. This strategy includes support from the City of Dayton, Montgomery County, the Dayton Development Coalition, Citywide Development Corporation and the University of Dayton Research Institute, whose combined efforts make bringing companies like Intelligent Decisions to the region possible.

The Ohio Aerospace Hub is proud to congratulate the chairman of our Hub Controlling Board, John Leland, for being promoted to Associate VP for Research at University of Dayton while maintaining his role as Director, Research Institute.

University of Dayton’s Research Institute is one of the five partners that support the Ohio Aerospace Hub and with the hard work and support of individuals like Leland we are able to bring aerospace companies into the Dayton region, support them and watch them reach new levels of success. UDRI is a vital asset for both the Ohio Aerospace Hub as well as the greater Dayton region as it is a leader in sponsored research in materials and has been for over a decade.
